Custom Carving

It is customary for every synagogue to have an elaborately decorated Kise shel Eliyahu (Elijah's Chair) that is used in the Brit Milah (circumcision) ceremony. These chairs are raised and have a foot rest beneath. The backrests are generally carved. Chairs can be made in elegant, simple form, or with dramatic ornate style.

Custom Carving also offers custom chair and pew design. Pews can include storage compartments and book rests. We make specially designed Bimah chairs for the rabbi, cantor, and other seats of honor.
