Spertus Museum Mezuzah

Carved Wood and Glass Mezuza

This Mezuza won honorable mention at the Spertus Prize Museum showcase and was soon purchased by the Museum. The Mezuza is carved from one solid piece of old growth Yellow cedar. The lions guard two doors, which can be opened to reveal the scroll in glass tubing inserted from the back of the work. Carved by master carver Gabriel Bass at the Custom Carving Studios.
