Eternal Light: Kansas City

Custom Carving designed this Eternal Light to beautify the Aron kodesh of Beth Shalom in Kansas City. Ner Tamid features a unique technique of glass bending. Specialty or hand colored glass is then formed in the kiln, reaching 775 degrees C. After a careful annealing process the glass is affixed to the back of the structure and the glass appears to be coming through the spaces in the wooden frame. Transparent colored borosilicate glass was torch worked into discs and applied as inlays. Carved and painted with gold guilding, resulting in an Eternal Light which truely contributes to the Torah Ark and fill the surrounding sanctuary with a radiance of kedusha.
