Ner Tamid Mounted on Torah Ark

Custom Glass Eternal Light

Each Ner Tamid is made custom to suit the specific Torah Ark or Aron Kodesh that it will crown. The Eternal Light is made using a unique technique of art glass bending. The wooden frame is made along with a matching steel or fiber glass mould, each with it's matching hollow spaces. The glass is chosen, cut, and placed onto the mould in the kiln at about 800 degrees C, precisely for the required time of that particular mould, where it melts to shape, creating a rounded space condusive to the wooden frame. After the glass is carefully cooled in the kiln it can be fitted exactly into the back of the wood frame, creating a perfect harmony between the materials. Frameworks can wrap around the side of the Aron upon request. Lightbulb housing is mounted to the top of the Aron Kodesh and lights the glass from within. This is a great choice for low ceilings, portable arks, congregations who want to add a decorative touch to the Aron Kodesh.
